Last week 4/4/2025

What a great way to end the 3rd term in P5b. On Tuesday the children in P5 all planned an afternoon of fun with PIZZA and drinks, using some of the money they raised from their Enterprise project last term. The weather was surprisingly warm and everyone had a good time. The children have decided to purchase games for outdoor activities for P5 with the rest of the money. The class have been completing their newspaper reports about the 2004 Tsunami. They made notes and then completed their newspaper reports as journalists.👍I have just marked their writing and I am impressed with their efforts. As the weather has been terrific it was not a hardship to plant some seeds on Wednesday. We hope that next term we will 🤞have some seedlings 🌱 to look after.    Mrs. Jodah

This has been a very busy week for P5b. We have covered work in division and coordinates in Maths. Money has been assessed! The children really liked going outside to explore symmetry in nature. We have successfully completed the reports about Natural Disasters. Next week everyone is going to start their own mini topic. Today P5 went outside with a P2 class to assist with their learning about coordinates. That was fun sharing our learning. Mrs. Jodah

Parents Evening Update – March 2025

Thank you to all of our families who attended our Parents Evening over the last couple of weeks. It was lovely to see so many of you.

We value the experience to meet with families to discuss pupil progress and next steps in learning. If for any reason you were unable to attend your scheduled appointment, please contact the school to arrange a mutually suitable time to meet with your child’s Class Teacher.

Thank you also to everyone who engaged in our Family Learning Consultation. 95% of families who participate felt that they would benefit from a Family Learning website, that demonstrates ways in which parents/carers can engage in learning with their children. As a result of this feedback we have started to create our bespoke website that we plan to launch in Term 4 of this session.

Nurture at Wallacewell Primary – What does it mean?

Today at assembly we have been learning about one of our values – NURTURE.

We know that to grow and develop we all need NURTURE.

We know that to be NURTURED means you have a caring and stimulating place to live and grow.

We know that part of being NURTURED is being recognised that you are unique.

We all want and need to be NURTURED. It helps us to grow and develop.
