Literacy and English Principles and Practice Document

Using a variety of relevant resources and teaching strategies we endeavour to develop pupil competence, confidence and enjoyment in listening, talking, reading and writing.

Our core reading materials are “Jolly Readers” and “ Ginn ” which are supported by a variety of resources which help with pupils’ language development.  We also use Nelson Handwriting, Spelling, Nelson English and “Big Writing” together with a variety of reference and fiction books.
