Headteacher’s Welcome

Welcome to Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School

A Welcome from our Headteacher

Dear Parents, Carers and Visitors,

It is my pleasure to welcome you to Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School.

We are a welcoming, nurturing and ambitious Catholic school community where our children are at the heart of everything we do. We want every child who comes through our doors to feel happy, safe, valued and ready to learn, and to be supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Our Catholic faith is central to the life of our school. Our values of Love, Faith, Hope and Kindness guide us in how we learn, live and care for one another. We are proud of our strong relationship with our parish and wider faith community, and of the many opportunities our children have to grow in faith, serve others and put their values into action.

At Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, we have high expectations and high aspirations for all our children. We aim to provide rich, engaging and meaningful learning experiences which allow every child to develop their knowledge, skills, confidence and talents. We celebrate achievement in all its forms and encourage our children to become enthusiastic learners who are ready to contribute positively to their school, their community and the wider world.

We recognise that children thrive when school and home work together. We greatly value the relationships we build with our parents and carers and encourage families to play an active part in the life and learning of our school.

There is much to be proud of at Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, and I hope that our website gives you a flavour of the faith, learning, opportunities and sense of community that make our school such a special place.

Whether you are a current family, joining our school community for the first time or simply finding out more about us, you are very warmly welcome.

Mrs Maureen Douglas
