Confirmation

The Sacrament of Confirmation is an important milestone in the faith journey of our children and is celebrated in Primary 7. Through Confirmation, children deepen their understanding of their faith and learn about the Holy Spirit and the Gifts of the Holy Spirit, which help us to live as followers of Jesus and play an active part in the life of the Church.

At Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, children are supported in preparing to receive the Sacrament through their Religious Education in school, following This Is Our Faith and the sacramental preparation guidance of the Archdiocese of Glasgow.

Preparation is a partnership between home, school and parish. During the period of preparation, children use a Family Workbook, providing opportunities for children and their families to learn, talk, reflect and pray together as they prepare for this important step in their faith journey.

We look forward to supporting our Primary 7 children and their families as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation and continue to grow in faith.
