School Streets – Keeping Our Children Safe
Our school is part of the School Streets initiative, which restricts vehicle access around the school at the busiest times of the day to help create a safer environment for children and families travelling to and from school.
Restricted Times
Morning: 8.30am – 9.15am
Afternoon: 2.45pm – 3.30pm
The restrictions apply to:
- Friarton Road, up to the junction with Glasserton Road
- Ashmore Road
During these times, vehicles should not enter the restricted area unless the driver is a resident with a valid permit or is entitled to an exemption, such as a Blue Badge holder.
Drop-off and Pick-up
We ask all parents, carers and family members to help us keep our children safe by:
- Observing the School Street restrictions at all times.
- Parking safely outside the restricted area and walking the remaining distance to school.
- Not using the staff car park for drop-off or pick-up.
- Never stopping at the school gates or allowing children to get out of a vehicle in the middle of the road.
These restrictions are in place first and foremost to protect our children. Driving into the restricted area or stopping unsafely near the school creates unnecessary risks for children and families who are walking to and from school.
Drivers who do not comply with the restrictions may also be subject to enforcement action.
Thank you for working with us to keep the area around our school safe for everyone.
