School Meals – Fuel Zone
At Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, school lunches are provided through Glasgow City Council’s Fuel Zone.
Fuel Zone provides children with healthy, nutritious and balanced school meals in a friendly and welcoming environment.
🍽️ What’s on the Menu?
Primary schools use the Fuel Zone 123 Choices menu, which is developed following consultation with pupils, parents, teachers and school catering teams.
Menus are designed to meet the requirements of the Schools Health Promotion and Nutrition (Scotland) Act 2007 and the Food and Drink in Schools (Scotland) Regulations 2020.
At least 75% of dishes are freshly prepared using unprocessed ingredients, and Glasgow’s primary school meals meet the standards required for the Food for Life Served Here Bronze Award.
These standards include:
- Free-range eggs
- Welfare-accredited meat
- Ingredients from sustainable and ethical sources
- Meals free from trans fats and specified additives
