Sacrament of Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is an important part of our children’s faith journey and is normally celebrated in Primary 3. It helps children to understand God’s love, mercy and forgiveness and the importance of saying sorry, forgiving others and making good choices.
At Our Lady of the Annunciation Primary School, children are supported in preparing to receive the Sacrament through their Religious Education in school. Preparation is a partnership between home, school and parish, with families playing an important part in this special journey.
During the period of preparation, children use a Family Workbook which travels between school and home. This provides opportunities for children and their families to talk, reflect and pray together, building on the learning taking place in school as we work together to prepare each child to receive the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
We look forward to sharing this special milestone in the faith journey of our children and their families.
