This term, we have pledged to support our local foodbank – Glasgow NW Foodbank – Trussell Trust. Sadly, many people live below the poverty line in Glasgow and the need for foodbanks is increasing. The foodbank offers help to local people in crisis, who are often referred by specialist agencies such as social services, GP surgeries, schools and care centres. We would be grateful if your child could bring in any of the following, to help with our collection for this worthwhile cause.

Online Safety Newsletter & Parental Controls booklet
Dear Parent/Carer,
Each month, in partnership with a digital partner Knowsley, we issue an Online Safety Newsletter, with information and advice on how to make the online world a happier and safer place for children. We ask that you regularly take time to discuss relevant aspects with your child/ren.
We also provide an annual Parental Controls booklet. This guide will help you set up parental controls to provide your child with a safer online environment. Parental controls can help to protect your child from seeing something that they shouldn’t – although it is important to emphasis that no system is effective all of the time so it is important to regularly engage with your child and talk to them about their online life.
All previous editions of our Online Safety Newsletters are available on the school website.
If there are any particular issues/themes/games/apps etc that you would like us to include in any future newsletters then please get in touch.
Kind regards,
Wendy Cameron
