Applications are now open for entrants into the Musicianship and Instrumental Tuition Programme at Bellahouston Academy. Instrumental tuition is open to everyone and is free of charge. You do not need to have played an instrument before nor do you need to buy your own instrument.
You simply need to demonstrate commitment and enthusiasm towards learning your instrument and be willing to put in the time and effort required to progress.
Recent international surveys have indicated that the study of music not only enhances a child’s learning, but also makes significant contribution to the standards children achieve in all subject disciplines. Employers also increasingly acknowledge the positive impact, which the study of music has upon the ability of their employees to adapt to the demands of a constantly changing environment.
