This afternoon we have our first parents evening. We are looking forward to seeing you all there. Remember if you have an appointment but can no longer make it, please give us a call at the school to let us know.
Due to the success of our ‘Wake Up Shake Up’ programme as part of health week we will now be running sessions every Wednesday morning from 8.30 – 8.50AM starting on Wednesday the 18th of May 2016. All pupils from Primary 1 -7 are welcome to attend. Parents and carers are welcome to join us too. We are looking forward to seeing you all there.
On Thursday we held our very own whole school Zumbathon. Thank you to Miss O’Connor for planning this. We all have a fantastic time and thankfully the weather was great!
Our very own Rookie Rockstar CD is now available to order from our school office. CD’s are priced at £5. For every CD sold to school will receive £1 back to go towards school funds. Each CD contains 5 original Rookie Rockstar songs, sung by the children of Balornock. The CD cover was also designed by one of our pupils.
We have been working very hard to proofread our work using passages from The Little Mermaid by Hans Christian Anderson. It is great fun and we get to mark our own work but it can be quite challenging! We hope that we can get better at proofreading soon!
On Monday the 9th of May (next week) we will be launching our Health Week. We have a week of fun, active and healthy activities organised. It is going to be a fantastic. Here are all the bottle tops we collected: We made beautiful pictures – we made a butterfly and 2 flowers. They’re going in a garden at Wallacewell. We had fun with the very nice artists Alwyn and Helen from CLAASH.
We went swimming at Maryhill pool. We met our teacher called Miss McGreish. Group 1 got fabulous certificates and had an amazing time. Group 2 have just started swimming and learnt all the safety rules. We can’t wait to go back!
