The boys in girls in P1a had a visit from Mrs Campbell over the past fortnight during our PE lessons. She taught us lots of new things including…… Carpet Tile Fun: We were able to move our partner by pulling them along and also used the tiles in lots of different ways. Kiah was chosen to be our Class Reader this week and got the chance to show everyone in P1a what an amazing reader she is! She read us a story called ‘Spots’ written by Roderick Hunt and illustrated by Alex Brychta. The boys and girls in Primary 1a love to read books and listen to stories. On Tuesday, we all visited our school library to borrow a book to enjoy back in class. There was a fantastic choice of books and we hope to visit every week to change our books. A huge thank you to our librarians Salome and Ryan who did a great job of helping us!
On Wednesday, we explored our local area by taking a little walk along Broomfield Road. During our walk, we saw lots of different things including the local shops (greengrocer, hairdresser, take away and a dentist), busy roads with lots of traffic, two parks (Broomfield Park and Springburn Park) amongst other things.
