Mobile phones – we understand that many parents/carers wish for their child to carry a mobile phone when going to and from school.
Once children enter the school grounds however it is very important that they understand the rules to follow:
-
On entering the school grounds the phone is switched off and put away. This is to keep all children safe and to avoid anyone seeing/hearing inappropriate content.
-
At 9am the phone is handed in, to the teacher or office. Phones cannot be left in bags or pockets. The school cannot accept any responsibility for damage to phones.
-
If you need to contact your child during the school day please phone the school office.
-
At 3pm the phone is returned and must stay switched off until out of the school gates.
- Under no circumstances should children take photographs or videos of anyone in the school playground or building.
If your child is found not to be following these rules you will be contacted by email or a phone call in the first instance. If there is a further incident then a meeting will be held in school with you and your child.
Please do not send children to school with smart watches that can send/receive messages etc.
Thank you for your support in keeping all children safe at Tayport Primary School.
