Welcome to St. Ninian’s RC Primary School which is one of three primary schools in Cardenden. The school was opened in 1926 to serve the Roman Catholic community. The catchment area covers Cardenden and the neighbouring villages of Cluny and Kinglassie.
The school building has eight rooms, six are used as classrooms, one serves as a resources room and one provides accommodation for the Nursery. The school hall is used for both dining and PE.
Our aim as a Catholic school is to create a community where faith is shared and the spirituality of each individual is fostered. Within a safe, welcoming environment, staff, pupils and parents are valued and have a sense of pride and ownership of the school. By creating a motivating learning environment, pupils are encouraged to accept responsibility for their learning and to meet high but realistic expectations.
The Parent Council represents the views of the parents and gives support to all aspects of school life.
Our Pupil Council represents the concerns and issues raised by the pupils.
Parents and visitors are always welcome to visit the school.
St. Ninian’s Nursery was opened in 1969 to serve the whole of the Cardenden area. It can accommodate 30 places and now serves the catchment area for Denend Primary, St. Ninian’s and Auchtertool.
School opening times are from 9.00am – 3.00pm (this has changed slightly at the moment due to the current restrictions and the staggered starts we have in place, you can visit each class page to find out their specific start and finish time)
