At St Ninian’s RC Primary School, we are proud to be a Rights Respecting School, where children’s rights are at the heart of our ethos and daily practice. Our work is guided by the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC), helping us to create a safe, inclusive and respectful environment for all.
We are delighted to have achieved our UNICEF Rights Respecting Schools Silver Award in November 2024. This recognises our commitment to embedding children’s rights across the life and work of our school, and our progress in ensuring that our pupils understand, value and promote the rights of others.
Through our Rights Respecting Schools journey, pupils learn about their rights and develop as confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors. Children are encouraged to have a voice in school life and to take an active role in decision-making.
We will continue to build on this success as we work towards our Gold Award, ensuring that children’s rights remain central to everything we do at St Ninian’s.
