At St Ninian’s RC Primary School, we believe that every child has the right to have their voice heard and to play an active role in shaping our school community. Through our Pupil Voice Groups, learners are given meaningful opportunities to share their ideas, take on leadership roles and contribute to school improvement.
Our current groups include:
- Eco Council – leading our work on sustainability and helping us maintain our Eco-Schools Green Flag through practical actions and awareness campaigns.
- Pupil Council – representing the views of all pupils and working closely with staff to suggest improvements and support positive change across the school.
- Rights Respecting Schools Group – promoting children’s rights throughout the school and supporting our journey towards the Gold Rights Respecting Schools Award.
- Sportscotland Group – encouraging participation in sport and physical activity, helping to organise events and promote healthy, active lifestyles.
- Mini Vinnies – living out Gospel values through faith in action, supporting charities and helping those in need within our community.
Each group meets regularly and shares their work during assemblies and with the wider school community. Through this, pupils develop confidence, leadership skills and a strong sense of responsibility, knowing that their contributions truly make a difference.
