At St Ninian’s RC Primary School, we are committed to promoting physical activity, health and wellbeing for all of our pupils. We are proud to have been awarded the sportscotland Gold School Sport Award in May 2025, recognising our strong commitment to physical education and school sport.
The sportscotland School Sport Award is a national programme which supports schools to develop and improve opportunities for sport and physical activity. It encourages schools to place physical education and sport at the heart of school life, ensuring all pupils have opportunities to participate, achieve and succeed.
At St Ninian’s, we provide a wide range of opportunities for pupils to take part in sport and physical activity through quality PE lessons, extra-curricular clubs, competitions and partnerships with Active Schools. We also encourage pupil voice and leadership, allowing children to play an active role in shaping sport and physical activity within our school.
