Anti Bullying Policy Updated Aug 26 (1)

As you will be aware, one of our School Improvement Priorities last session was to develop our School Relationships and Behaviour Policy. This has now been completed, and can be found on our website, in classrooms and around the School.

We are continuing this important work this session by looking at our School Anti-Bullying Policy. Of all the things we deal with in school, bullying can be one of the most emotive. It is often complex and sometimes traumatic, which makes it all the more important that we deal with it quickly and effectively. It is very important to us that the whole school community fully understand what our Policy says and the rationale behind it.

You will find attached a draft copy of our new Policy for your comments and feedback. It is based around the Scottish Government document, ‘Respect for All: The National Approach to Anti Bullying for Scotland’s Children and Young People, 2024’. We’d like to change anything that needs to be changed, and explain anything that is unclear, so that we can all work together to prevent bullying, and to resolve it when it does occur.

The QR code below will take you to a Microsoft Forms questionnaire, which will allow you to give any initial feedback you may have. There will be plenty more opportunities throughout the year to contribute your views!
