Travel Action Plan

Our Travel Action Plan was updated and relaunched in September 2022 by our JRSOs working alongside Mrs Paterson and our link Travel Coordinator, Marta Ramage. We worked with pupils and families to identify the main walking routes to and from school for the majority of our children. Our JRSOs then went for several walks along these routes to investigate where the busiest and most dangerous points were. We identified that the junction at Kellock Avenue was particularly hazardous at drop off and pick up times.
We then invited a representative from Fife Council to come out and survey the area around Kellock Avenue to see if we would qualify for a School Crossing Patrol Officer and were delighted to learn that we did! Mr Jim Taggart started working with us to keep our children and families safe in December 2023.
We also launched our Carnegie Parking Pledge, in which over 150 of our families signed a promise to only park in designated safe parking zones around the school.
