Play in Action at Carnegie

Here are some examples of play pedagogy at Carnegie.

P1 decided they needed curtains for their home corner so they measured some material and created their own!
P1 developing their collaboration skills during their play in the home corner – making decisions about what else they needed for the area.
P4 using enquiry based learning approaches to investigate different climate zones. They worked collaboratively using a map to identify the climate of different countries.
P1 were learning all about their local community and worked together to design their own community. The enhanced their communities with clock towers, doctor surgeries and even bridges for trains!
Collaborative and enquiry based learning is a key feature at Carnegie. Our older children support our younger children to develop skills and learning through play.
