Charlie Nicolson Football Tournament June 2011
Sir E. Scott P7’s competed in near arctic summer conditions, against a tough group consisting of Point, Laxdale, Back and Shawbost – they were unfortunate not to progress to the finals but they showed good team spirit throughout the competition.
Many thanks to the members of staff who accompanied the teams to the events held in June: Mr I. Nicolson, Miss M Macleod and Mrs F A Morrison

Rural Schools Athletics Championships June 7th 2011
A team of primary and secondary athletes competed at this annual event and although the weather was unkind on the day, the team displayed a good attitude throughout. We were not overall winners in any of the year groups, although there were some notable performances from individual athletes, namely Christina Macleod ( P6) who was dominant in the 100 and 200m and displayed perfect sprinting technique and strength – one to watch out for in the future.
Peigi McKellar again demonstrated her dominance in the middle distance events and she won her 800m convincingly

Highland Schools Swimming Championships
10 Sir E. Scott pupils competed at the HIghland Schools Swimming Championships in Inverness on Wenesday 10th November.
With an early start of 5.15am it was always going to be long day but the attitude and beahaviour shown by the squad was exemplary and they were a credit to the school.
As this was the Highland regional Champioships the standard of swimming was extremely high and our swimmers also had to contend with completely different surroundings, including a longer pool, the use of starting blocks and official ‘Omega’ timing pads.
However, all of the swimmers acquitted themselves well and showed a good standard of technique and fitness in their races and sporting their new ‘Harris Swim Club’ tracksuits they certainly looked like a professional squad.
Many thanks must go to Cammy and Maria for their diligent organisation and supervision throughout and also for not falling asleep themselves whilst I was driving.
The squad were:
Samantha, Sade and jamie Martin
Ali Maclennan
Stuart Morrison
Moreen Maclennan
Anna Macleod
Peigi McKellar
Aneeka Toor
Andrew Morrison
