|Welcome to the second newsletter about Maidenhill Primary School. We hope that you enjoy finding out more about us.|
Congratulations to Miss Alison Shaw and Mrs Annie Fraser who were both successful at interview this week and are joining the Maidenhill staff team. Miss Shaw will join us as Depute Head Teacher and Mrs Fraser will be our Senior Business Support Assistant. Both will be pivotal roles within our new Leadership Team and we wish Miss Shaw and Mrs Fraser all the best.
Alasdair McDonald, Head Teacher of Maidenhill Primary School, will be holding a drop-in session for parents on Tuesday 30th April from 2.30-3.30pm at Mearns Primary School. If you have any questions about Maidenhill Primary School please come along.
After a lot of work by the pupils of Mearns and Kirkhill Primaries, Mr McDonald and the Lord Lyon, we can finally reveal the designs for Maidenhill’s school badge and tie.
We are very pleased with the choices and we are sure that they will make all Maidenhill pupils look very smart.
On Monday 11th March, the Lord Lyon, King of Arms,
visited East Renfrewshire.
He met with pupils who have applied to Maidenhill Primary School, to give his advice and guidance on how to create a school badge that will describe the new school and stand the test of time.
It was incredibly informative and so interesting to hear about the history of designing badges and shields.
We are most grateful that the Lord Lyon was able to make time to visit as it has added another dimension to the process of creating the Maidenhill school badge.
