We have had a great week celebrating Book Week Scotland. We enjoyed reading ‘One Button Benny’ by Alan Windram. We enjoyed creating Benny’s new emergency vehicle outside using loose parts, we had lots of amazing designs! We also created a new robot sidekick for Benny and wrote about Benny’s sidekick.

We also enjoyed reading the books from our book bug bags. We drew our favourite woodland animal from the book ‘My First Book of Woodland Animals’ and found out interesting facts about the animal we selected.

After reading ‘Arlo-The lion who couldn’t sleep’ by Catherine Ryan we decided to paint our favourite place.

We also enjoyed hearing our P6 buddies read different stories to us.

We had a great visit to the Library, we loved getting our bookbug bags and hearing the stories from our bags.

We decided to create our own book covers outside for our favourite books. To help us, we designed our cover before we went outside and looked in the woodland to find different materials to use.

It has been a great week celebrating all things books!
