This week, we made some tasty pizzas to help develop our understanding of halves. While we were preparing our pizzas, we spoke about trying new foods and how some of our friends or family may eat different foods from us. We made sure that we were very careful when we were chopping our vegetables and we also had to think carefully about where we were cutting our vegetables so that we had equal halves. All the pizzas looked yummy and I am sure they tasted as good as they looked! We have also been enjoying a range of other activities to help us identify halves.

Outdoors this week as it was very icy so we decided to go on an ice hunt. We found lots of ice and create ice cream, ice painting and looked at the different ways we could make the ice melt quickly. We also enjoyed creating different landmarks outdoors as well.

In Literacy, we are working hard using our sounds to help read and build words. We have also been working hard identifying our common words in our reading books and we have been enjoying lots of activities to help us identify and read our common words.

Some pupils from Primary 6 came down to talk to us about the work they have been carrying out as part of anti bullying week. They explained to us about the importance of being kind and they helped us to send a thank you note to somebody who been kind to us.

In PE, we have been working on our racket skills and have been enjoying playing lots of different games to help us develop our racket skills.

Well done for all your amazing work this week, have a wonderful weekend!
