CREATIVE WRITING COMPETITION

Three senior pupils have won a place on the prestigious Robert Louis Stevenson Club Workshop on the 25th June. Paula Duffin, Mhairi Finnigan and Aodhan Gallagher submitted excellent creative pieces and we eagerly anticipate the results at the award ceremony  at Napier University in Edinburgh.  Mrs Bastable and Mrs Quinn will travel with pupils to celebrate their outstanding achievement on the day. Rotary Public Speaking Competition

On Thursday 14th November, Katie Dunn (5a6), Lauren Hannan (5a9) and Aisha Iqbal (5a9) represented the school in what was a strongly contested event between East Renfrewshire schools at St Luke’s in Barrhead.   The girls put in an exemplary level of preparation and their efforts were rewarded with a very strong performance that impressed all in attendance, none moreso than Jim Murphy MP who was acting as questioner.
