Electrical Waste Recycling Campaign

Following on from last year’s successful ‘Towards a litter-free East Renfrewshire’ campaign, the Environment Department is running a new initiative this term which raises awareness of the impact of Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) on the environment.

We are looking for your support as we host a WEEE bin for a period of four weeks during the month of November.  The bin will be used for any small WEEE that the school may need to dispose of but crucially, we are asking pupils to bring in any small WEEE that they may have lurking in drawers at home, such as old computer consoles, hair-dryers, IPod, mobile phones and chargers etc.

The box will be in the school mensa throughout this month and there is an incentive of 20 house points for the house that brings in the most items.

We thank you for your support.
