World Record Attempt – Help Needed!

Dear all,

If you haven’t heard already, the school will be attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the largest game of musical bumps on Friday 20th April at 11am. It’s going to be a very exciting day for everyone. You will receive full details shortly with a sponsorship form.

Lots of work is going on behind the scenes to make it happen – you would be amazed to see the criteria we need to comply with to become official world record holders!

To make this happen we also need help on the day. We need volunteers to help us as follows:

  1. Stewards

To get the record, we will need the help of around 40 stewards who are not related to anyone at school. They could be involved eg in the counting process or monitoring a class playing the game (the children need to be divided into groups to attempt the record).

  1. Witnesses

We need a small number of independent witnesses. They specifically need to be independent of the school, participants and organisers and will be crucial to the application process.

Do you know anyone who might have time to help and who might enjoy being part of a great community occasion on the day?

  1. Parent helpers

We will need around a dozen parent helpers on the day.

Timing – we are likely to need people from around 9.30 until possibly 12.30 depending on the job concerned.

Can you help or do you know someone who can? Please email olm-parentcouncil@hotmail.com

We hope to hear from you!
