Nursery closes on Thursday 2nd April at 2.30pm for the Easter holidays. Nursery re-opens on Monday 20th April.

The Living Eggs arrived at Hazeldene on Monday 16th March. They are with us for nearly 2 weeks. We hope to see the eggs hatch into little chicks very soon…….watch this space for further updates….!!!
Welcome back! We hope you all enjoyed the festive break. We are looking forward to another busy term at Hazeldene Nursery!
Our children’s entertainer ‘Uncle Billy’ was at Hazeldene yesterday entertaining everyone! Our Christmas Parties will be held this week too – see our December newsletter for further details.
The nursery school will close for the festive break on Friday 19th December at 2.30pm. Please ensure your children are collected on time.

Rag Bag Collection
Rag Bags were given out to children last week, and have to be handed in to nursery as follows:
AM children – hand in no later than first thing at drop off on Wednesday 3rd December
PM children – hand in no later than at drop off/pick up on Tuesday 2nd December.

These dates are ‘Weather Dependant’, i.e. if a Woodland Walk date has to be cancelled due to snow, ice etc. then it will not be replaced with another date.

St. Andrew’s Day 
This year St. Andrew’s Day falls on Sunday 30th November.
To celebrate, we are asking if all children attending Hazeldene Nursery can wear something TARTAN on Friday 28th November.
On Friday we will be having Oatcakes and Cheese for snack.
If anyone does not wish their child to have this, please speak to staff.
National Scottish Book Week
This week is National Scottish Book Week.
Book Week Scotland is a week-long celebration of books and reading that takes place every November.
Book Week Scotland 2014 will take place from
Monday 24 – Sunday 30 November 2014.
During Book Week, people of all ages and walks of life will come together in libraries, schools, community venues and workplaces to share and enjoy books and reading. They will be joined in this celebration by Scotland’s authors, poets, playwrights, storytellers and illustrators to bring a packed programme of events and projects to life.

Children in Need Update
Thanks to you all, we raised the fantastic sum of £217 for Children in Need 2014. Thank you to everyone who contributed.
VISION SCREENING
On Tuesday 11th November we have our Vision Screening for Pre-School children. This is taking place during the normal sessions.
ANTE PRE-SCHOOL PARENT INFORMATION DAYS
Our Ante Pre-School Parent Information Days are running this week. Please remember which slot you have chosen and we look forward to seeing you!
On Friday 14th November we will be taking part in Children in Need 2014. Children can come to nursery dressed as their favourite Hero/Pirate/Princess etc. and put £1 in the Treasure Chest. Bring your favourite Teddy for Tender Loving Care. We will also be selling Pudsey/Blush Wristbands – suggested donation is £1.

Our photographer has been in Nursery this week. Yesterday we had Family Photos and today children are having Individual Photographs taken. Remember to bring your smile to Nursery!!
