Celebration of Values Day
Tennis Update!
Hot off the press News!
Yesterday, at Scotstoun Leisure Centre our four P4 Tennis Stars competed in the West Region Primary Schools Finals.
With flashing forehands and beautiful backhands on show they challenged for every point, acquitting themselves magnificently, whilst showing immaculate sportsmanship.
Finishing in an amazing second place, narrowly beaten by The High School of Glasgow’s Junior School, the team should be very proud of their achievements. All of the Busby Family are extremely proud of them.
Andy Murray is now officially looking over his shoulder!

P6 Cluster Maths Challenge
Yesterday, a selection of our P6 pupils had the opportunity to compete in the annual Williamwood P6 Cluster Maths Challenge. The pupils were put into mixed teams, and worked alongside their peers from Carolside and Netherlee. They were challenged by a variety of different stations, undertook the 12 Card Challenge and completed in the ever-popular Maths relay.
Much fun was had by all, and the pupils maths knowledge was definitely evident. Special congratulations must go to:
Harris, Jennifer and Erin, who finished in the 1st, 2nd and 3rd finishing teams!

The Force Awakens…. For STEM Week!
STEM Week was launched with full force this morning, unveiling this years theme………….Star Wars!
At our whole school assembly, Mrs McLean introduced the theme and the various challenges for the week. The pupils were played a video message from Darth Vader and were surprised by a visit from two of the movies characters.
Excitement reached fever pitch! Our thanks must go to the UKGarrison for supporting our launch.
Keep your eyes peeled on the school website and class blogs for updates across the week.
May the force be with us!!

As part of Pass It On week, the Eco Committee have registered Busby for the Big Electrical Amnesty. This initiative promotes recycling, and the committee are asking if you have any surplus, unwanted (but working) electrical devices bring them into school and place them in the collection box outside the Janitor’s 0ffice.
Items will be accepted Monday to Friday next week, and then collected for recycling.
