Library Resources

Do you know about the library service’s latest online resource – Press Reader. It gives you FREE access to over 7,000 worldwide magazines and newspapers. You can filter by country, category and language. There are 500 UK magazines and 171 UK newspapers including all the daily tabloids and broadsheets.

You can create an account and tailor your preferences but the more you use it, it will begin to tailor based on your reading. There are no restrictions on the number of times you can download titles, nor are there any restrictions on simultaneous downloads so you will always be able to download the title you want, when you want it.

After 30 days, Pressreader will ask you to sign in again for the next 30 days access. Back issues are available for 90 days, although some publishers place restrictions on this.

  • Download the Pressreader App for iOS, Android or window devices.
  • Select Sign-in with ‘Libraries & Groups’
  • Select East Renfrewshire Culture and Leisure from the drop down (it tends to appear first)
  • Enter your Library Card number
  • Happy downloading and browsing.

You can also opt to create an account and sign in using email and password, via facebook, google or twitter.  There is Browser access available at: www.pressreader.com but we would encourage use of the App.
