The RNLI

On Friday morning a lifeguard called Richard visited us. He taught us how to stay safe near water and told us how to get help in an emergency.

Jamie tried on the lifeguards uniform.  Doesn’t he look fantastic!  He said it was very heavy and hard to move in.

We are Germbusters!

We have been learning about the importance of washing our hands properly to be Germbusters.

We learned a new hand washing song and designed posters to put up in the nursery and the school to promote the importance of washing our hands.

STEM Fortnight

This is the first week of STEM fortnight. Over the next two weeks we will be participating in lots of fun and exciting STEM activities.

This morning Geraldine, a volunteer from WaterAid visited. We learned about the importance of having clean, running water and how this charity is helping people in other countries have access to this by providing them with water pumps and clean water storage.

In Maths we have been learning about tally charts and bar graphs. We did a survey about our favourite fruit and recorded the information on a tally chart.  We then used our tally charts to create a bar graph to display the information about our favourite fruits.
