Week Beginning 22.11.21

There has been lots of great learning going on in Primary 3.9 thi week!

Mearns Masters                                                                                                            The pathway that we are focusing on this term for Mearns Masters is coding. We are developing our skills on scratch and hope that by the end of the block, we will be able to create our very own scratch stories.

Literacy                                                                                                                          During writing this week, we were learning to create notes in the form of a mind-map and using bullet points. We researched John Logie Baird and created a mind map full of information!

Mathematics                                                                                                                 Some of us in mathematics this week have been developing our skills on measuring and using the correct tools to measure different things. We especially enjoyed writing on the desks…oops!

Bookvent                                                                                                                          Our Bookvent calendar is growing! We can’t wait to begin reading our books on the 1st December.

Week beginning 15th November 2021

Today, we had a class discussion about what we could post on our blog. We decided to tell you all about the different things that we have been learning this week.

Numeracy and Mathematics

In class, we have all been developing our knowledge of shape by learning about 3D shapes, the properties of 3D shapes and  Tessellation. Here are some pictures of us working hard!

Here we are using our class beachball at the end of the lesson to tell one another what we had learned that day.

Literacy

We have been developing our spelling and Dictionary skills by finding the meaning of our spelling words!

Social Studies

This term, we are going to be learning about a significant individual from the past. As a class, we looked at different Scottish Inventors and we chose which one we would like to learn about. We will be learning about John Logie Baird and his invention of the Television.
