Meet the teacher 👩‍🏫

It was lovely to see so many faces in the classroom this evening.

For those that didn’t make it, here’s a little peak at some of the resources that were out for parents to have a look at.

Pupils  voted to have a space themed class charter this year. They learnt all about their rights and created a class charter highlighting our favourite rights that we would like to encompass in the classroom, it was hard to pick! They worked hard in groups to create each planet and designed their own spaceship   too. 🚀

.

This year we working hard to develop our growth mindsets so that we can make the most of our learning opportunities and support everyone in our class to reach their potential. This display shows some of the wonderful posters that P4.19 created!

Hummus from Ancient Egypt 🥕🥑

Pupils enjoyed their first gastronomers experience in the kitchen this week. Today we found out that hummus was first mentioned to have been made in Ancient Egypt! It is eaten all over the world and is especially popular in the Middle East. We looked at different countries in the Middle East and shared some knowledge about them before creating our own hummus in the kitchen.

The children made 3 different flavours of hummus and cut their own crudités to dip. The carrot flavour seemed to be the favourite!

The new P4.19!

First week back and the new P4.19 are quickly finding their feet in their new classroom and year group in the school.

Three wonderful pupils won points for their house on the very first day back for working hard and helping others in the classroom.

We’ve spent the week catching up on everyone’s summer adventures and working hard to build on our wonderful growth mindsets to help us get ready for all the learning that’s ahead of us this year. We had a paper challenge that was exceptionally tricky but with a little help from Google, we solved it!

Look at some of our wonderful posters that were made too!
