Chopping time again, the class are getting more confident each week. Look at all the colours in our fresh vegetable that are getting prepared to go in our sauce.
A pupil in P4.19 got to take home a cello today, we all enjoyed learning more about the different parts of the instrument and how to play it. We look forward to hearing it being played again in the future!
An afternoon filled with great presentations in our classroom, if only there were enough roles for everyone as they were all very deserving!
The wind and rain got in the way of PE outside today however we enjoyed some Joe Wicks and Just Dance exercise in the classroom instead!
Today we learnt about where Mexico is in the world, we discussed the difference between countries and continents as we identified countries that we close to Mexico.
In the kitchen pupils practised their bridge and claw cutting skills to make their own vegetable filled quesadillas. Beautifully chopped and ready to cook!
Then it was tasting time, they were enjoyed so much we went back for round 2!
Pupil’s learnt some new hockey skills today! They took their balls on a walk and practised changing directions, this was trickier than it looked, especially as we were trying to keep the stick touching the ball the whole time.
We the practised our push pass with a partner.
They ended with trying to score a goal against the teacher… next time they’d like to pick a different goal keeper!
It was lovely to see so many faces in the classroom this evening.

Pupils voted to have a space themed class charter this year. They learnt all about their rights and created a class charter highlighting our favourite rights that we would like to encompass in the classroom, it was hard to pick! They worked hard in groups to create each planet and designed their own spaceship too. 🚀

This year we working hard to develop our growth mindsets so that we can make the most of our learning opportunities and support everyone in our class to reach their potential. This display shows some of the wonderful posters that P4.19 created!
Pupils enjoyed their first gastronomers experience in the kitchen this week. Today we found out that hummus was first mentioned to have been made in Ancient Egypt! It is eaten all over the world and is especially popular in the Middle East. We looked at different countries in the Middle East and shared some knowledge about them before creating our own hummus in the kitchen.
The children made 3 different flavours of hummus and cut their own crudités to dip. The carrot flavour seemed to be the favourite!
Working in small groups, the class worked hard to create their space themed charter. It’s time to get it up now!
Looking forward to to seeing it altogether!
At the weekend one of our pupils took part in a 5k buggy walk with her family! What a great activity to fill the weekend, well done!
