Celebrating Success
Today there were certificates for our star pupils, well done!
Then two children received awards from Mrs Noble for their fabulous language work.
What lovely reasons to celebrate!
Passwords
In ICT with Mr McKenna today the children were learning the importance of creating a secure password and not sharing it with others.
They had fun using software to determine how secure their passwords were. We look forward to explore more in relation to internet safety.
Patterns in Nature
Yesterday we went exploring in the woods to see what different patterns we could find in nature.
Mearns Masters – Designers
This term the children are participating in the Designers pathway of Mearns Masters and through discussions they have decided to focussing on up-cycling existing clothes to create a new look.
As such we would be grateful if each child could please bring in one item of their clothing that can be up-cycled as part of their project. The items of clothing will be refashioned so please only send in items that you are comfortable to have redesigned by your child.
Items of clothing should be labelled with their name and brought in by Monday the 5th September.

Just a quick note to thank our families for attending our Meet the Teacher evening.
Mrs Littlejohn and I were delighted to welcome so many of you into our classroom and to discuss our exciting plans for the teaching and learning in 4.14.
We are looking forward to getting to know all our children and families this year.
Celebration Day!
Every Friday we have a mini awards ceremony in class to celebrate our week. Certificates are given out to mark effort and improvement in work and we all have a chance to reflect on the week we have shared.
The certificates are ready and waiting…….

Class Charter
Since our return we have been reminding ourselves of the rights that all children are entitled to. Through discussion we selected three rights and created our class charter.
PE
This morning in PE we had a bit of fun trying to see how many baskets we could each score!
The highest score was……… 4. We will need to try and improve our goal scoring skills over the term.
Welcome to P4.14
Welcome to our new P4.14 blog!
We have had a fun and exciting first few days together and it has been lovely to get to know each other better. The children created silhouettes filled with pictures of the things they value the most and their pictures have brightened up our classroom.
To start our year off successfully we have explored the qualities of amazing learners and talked about the way we would like our classroom to look and feel.
Over the next few weeks we will be working together to make our vision a reality by developing our learning space together and we will share our progress with you on our blog.We look forward to sharing our learning journey with you!
