This week we worked hard in practicing addition and subtraction using concrete materials, digital games and number lines. We have also started working on vertical addition in class.

This was a short week, but we have managed to learn quite a lot in maths. We have started looking at the number fact families, practised subtraction using concrete materials-counters/number lines, and also revised double numbers.

We continued working hard in maths as we practised addition, subtraction, number stories and number sequences. We are using different maths games, concrete materials and loose parts to help us understand our tasks.

This week, we worked on different calculations such as adding two numbers & to top it all of, we started working on subtraction too! We played a game that involves passing a ball & counting (At the same time!). We were so good in counting that we carried on, & ended up to counting 100! We also started working on tally marks…getting smarter every day!

We had a  great time, learning about how to tell time. We were learning about analog clocks & digital clocks. Look at the different fun activities we did this week on time!

We enjoyed being out in the sunshine today making posters using leaves to show we really understand how to count and display objects next to the correct number.

In maths, we practised counting numbers-forwards and backwards, finding the missing numbers, simple addition and worked on the concept of one more than. We worked on making patterns with rubber bands… little steps to uncover the mysteries in maths!
