Boggle

Playing “Boggle” is a really good way for children to learn to spell and challenge themselves.  The children were challenged to make three, four  and five letter words using the first letter “V”, ” m”, “s” etc .  They then add the letters from the “Boggle” board.  We got some great words today! : )

Mary Anning

We learned about Mary Anning in drama this week.  She discovered fossils and is the inspiration for the tongue twister (she sells sea shells on the sea shore).  She sold her fossils at the beach.  We were fascinated by her story and made our own fossils with play doh that Mrs Arbuckle had made for us.  Fossils are fascinating.

We used sticks to make the bone patterns.

Our patterns on our fossils were beautiful.

We really concentrated to make a good job.

Dominoes

Dominoes are great at teach number shape, taking turns and counting.  We played a few games today. Lots of children had never played before! ( They don’t know what they are missing!)
