Well done to Andrew who is an active member of 4th/5th Boys Brigade Company. Last week at the Company Final Inspection, Andrew received his gold achievement award, was part of the winning Best Squad (includes their uniform presentation) and joint winner of the David Kirkwood Memorial Cup. He will begin working towards his President Badge next session, the second highest award in the BBs.
This will be a fun opportunity for pupils and staff to come together and recognise Scotland as part of our wider global community in this year’s World Cup.
Pupils are invited to come to school wearing:
A Scotland top
Another country’s football top
Scotland colours (blue and white)
Headbands, scarves or other accessories
To support a positive and inclusive event, we kindly ask that:
Clothing represents countries only
Club football colours should not be worn
This should be a fantastic day in the school calendar, helping to promote respect, inclusion and a sense of belonging for all. We look forward to seeing everyone getting involved!
As part of our Scotland Day celebrations, we are inviting pupils and families to make a small voluntary donation to the Tartan Army Sunshine Appeal. https://www.tasunshineappeal.scot/ This can be paid via ParentPay.
This fantastic charity is run by Scotland supporters and works to bring joy and support to children, families and communities both in Scotland and across the world. Through their fundraising efforts, they provide gifts to children in hospital, support those facing hardship, and contribute to a range of community and international projects.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help make a positive difference and reflect the values of kindness, generosity and global citizenship that we aim to promote within our school community.
Our S6 pupils had an amazing graduation ceremony today, recognising the tremendous role they have played in the school for the past six years. Good luck to all S6 pupils!
