The Rights Respecting School Award (RRSA) is an initiative run by UNICEF UK, which encourages schools to place the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child (CRC) at the heart of its ethos and curriculum. Before the merger, both James Hamilton Academy and Kilmarnock Academy achieved the Silver Award. We now have our Gold Award!
Our RRSA Ambassadors
This year’s Ambassadors are planning the following:
- Celebrating achieving Gold during Festive Friday 2021
- Holding Rock4Rights in June and celebrating our Rights as a school community
- Running a campaign to raise awareness on the importance of sensible mobile phone us
