Messy Little Monsters!

Welcome back! I hope everyone has had a safe and restful Easter break. 😊

With such beautiful weather upon us, it is a great opportunity to take our artwork outdoors.

Please find attached a link to Messy Little Monsters where you will find some fun activities which can be done in the back garden or out and about during your exercise time.

Stay safe! 🌈

Sungazers are Successful Learners at Rebound

All Sungazers were able to hold a good position on all fours for quite a number of bounces. Some could even hold the position lifting up one leg which is seriously hard. Well done!

Daisies were effective contributors at Rebound

Daisies have been fantastic the last two weeks before closure at Rebound. Great team work and partnering on the trampoline with groups of 2-3 and 4. Cooperating, following song actions, keeping in rhythm of the bounce and taking care we kept a safe space for ourselves and our partners. In doing so we made our friendships shine and develop stronger. I am so proud of you

Bluebells: Science Meets Art

Successful Learners & Effective Contributors!

The Bluebells are going to be creating a new wall display for their classroom. The theme for this is ‘The Jungle Book’.

Today the boys and girls tried their hand at marble inking.

What we used:
– A large tray with deep sides filled with cold water
– Marbling inks
– White A3 paper
– A spoon

The ink is carefully dropped onto the water where it floats because it contains oil. A spoon is used to swirl the ink before paper is placed on top. When the paper is lifted an interesting marble pattern is left.

Super creative!

FAOL – Transition’s Expressive Art

Successful Learners & Effective Contributors

The Transition class all showed great interest in this week’s art lesson… expressive art!

Working together from one large sheet of paper, the pupils were given the freedom to create their own marks and drawings, using varied resources:

  • coloured markers, paint, pencils & pens
  • charcoal
  • crayon and pastels
  • paint brushes or different sizes and textures
  • rollers
  • stamps
  • stencils
  • sponges

Once the paper dried, the designs were used to make these lovely personalised cards. Absolutely fabulous work boys!

Expressive art inspired cards. Fab!
Looks messy…but the end results are wonderful!

FAOL – Bluebells solve design challenges.

Successful Learners & Confident Individuals.

In order to recognise World Book Day on 5th March 2020, the pupils in the Bluebells class demonstrated excellent understanding whilst creating paper weave bookmarks.

These are created by using four strips or paper and glue.

All of the children actively participated and through curiosity and imagination this design problem was solved.

Keep up the hard work everyone!

Levi was quick to use his new bookmark in his favourite ‘Teletubby’ book. We read this together after our art lesson.
