FAOL – Beech – Batman Craft

Can you make the Batman symbol glow?

The Beech Class made clever use of some sticky back plastic and orange cellophane to  solve the design problem!

Lots of focus and attention was required to carefully create these impressive Batman sun catchers.

FAOL – Beech – Warm & Cold Colours

The pupils in the Beech class showed lots of interest in the warm and cold colours art lesson. The class investigated the use of cool colours for night time scenes and warm colours for daytime scenes.

FAOL – Beech – My Superhero

The pupils in the Beech class responded well and actively engaged in creating their own superhero.

The full class discussed, with staff, what their superhero qualities would be. Lots of fun ideas and contribution from peers. The characters were made from a range of sensory materials.

Well done to these effective contributors and  successful learners.

Getting Creative!

A sneak peek at the week!

The Pine Class have been investigating the use of dark and light colours. Lots of paper tearing was needed to create these fabulous zebra pictures.

Confident individuals! Well done!

The Transition boys are currently exploring Scottish Myths & Legends as part of their in-class topic. This week we discussed Scottish Kelpies and tried a new technique, using a tissue paper overlay, to make these wonderful 2D watercolor creatures.

Successful learners! Excellent work!

The Beech Class created their very own ‘Super Hero Me’. Each pupil decided what their individual superpower would be and the learners worked with staff to design the characters. Lyle can zap lightening bolts!

Cool Kites in Oak! 🪁

This morning the pupils in the Oak class created these beautiful kite pictures. Lots of excellent fine motor practise was involved in making the paper kites. Everyone was very focused during this task.

Earth Mobiles

Today the pupils in the Oak class started their preparations for Earth Day 2021.

The boys created these super earth mobiles which  will hang in the classroom after the Easter break. Super successful learners today. Well done everyone!

Bunny Wreaths in Oak! 🐰

The boys in the Oak class made some lovely Easter themed wreaths today. Excellent use of mixed media created an interesting wax resist effect on the paper Easter eggs.

Painting by Numbers – Oak

With a little help, the pupils in the Oak class worked very carefully to complete a painting by numbers activity.

Everyone worked very conscientiously and paid super attention to which colours were required.
