Willowbank School, Kilmarnock* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, CONFIDENT INDIVIDUALS *
The Planets class enjoyed looking closely at Princess Jasmine’s clothing and make up. We looked at materials that would be used for her outfits and attempted to make our own jewelled designs on our faces using sticky gems.
Finally, we looked closely at mehndi patterns on hands, followed the pencil control patterns and created our own. We also enjoyed a calming hand massage.

The Planets Class enjoyed an interactive magic carpet experience. We sat on our own magic carpet and enjoyed feeling like we were flying through the sky and visiting Princess Jasmine’s palace.

The Planets Class enjoyed doing a step by step drawing of a magic lamp. We loved doing this and were very focused!

The Planets class enjoyed making a magic carpet themed snack today. We used ryvita crackers and mixed butter icing and tried to make it a purple colour. We added some fruit to create a pattern!
We were all very brave and enjoyed tasting!

The Planets class enjoyed colouring in and decorating their own magic lamps. We loved using self adhesive gems and jewels to decorate them.
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS *
The Planets class recycled cardboard tubes and tried to turn them into our favourite theme characters. We made Aladdin, Jasmine and the genie.
* SUCCESSFUL LEARNERS, RESPONSIBLE CITIZENS *
The Planets class had a quick recap of the story of Aladdin. We had retained lots of information over our holidays.
We managed to work together and sort the scenes in the correct order.
We also tried to sort the main characters into good and evil character traits.
Finally, we chose our overall favourite characters!

Pupils enjoyed exploring the foods using their senses, some pupils chose just to touch and smell the foods. However, most were brave enough to give the food a taste or a little kiss.
