Fair Trade, Careers Week and World Book Day …what a busy week!

SQA Numeracy  – we were building up bricks and counting them, and colour sorting beanbags.

Fair trade SQA cookery for these responsible citizens, using our skills to measure, sieve, count paper cases and get all the ingredients into the big mixer. We made Muffins, using Fair Trade Chocolate and Bananas.

Great results!!!

This week in Literacy our letter was ‘M’, we looked for words around the classroom that started with this letter – can you think of any? Then we made lovely Monkey pictures for our alphabet books,

SQA Communication we matched the characters up with their colours. Do you know which character in ‘Inside Out’ is which colour???

Helping my friend.

One of our Books for World Book Day was Dinosaur Roar, we learned interested facts about different Dinosaurs, coloured in our choice of Dinosaur….

counted the different dinosaurs, and walked in their footsteps. ROAR!!!!!

This week we National Careers Week, we looked at different careers we have in the community. Throughout the week we linked our activities to different careers – we have been builders, cooks, artists, designers, writers, historians and paleontologists!!!

IDL Theme Mr Benn’s story The Red Knight, we pretended we were Knights and Dragons!!
