Miss Gemmell’s numeracy streaming group were very busy today! We used numicon materials and had lots of fun! We worked in pairs and took turns to fill the board using numicon shapes, with no gaps!
We also ordered the numicon shapes showing the numbers 1-10 and played a hide and seek game.

The Bluebells class went a walk to the Dick Institute library. We found some Scottish and Christmas story books that we borrowed to bring back to school.
We also explored the Remembrance garden since we had recently had a two minute silence in school.
Finally, we practised crossing the road safely. This time, not using the green man, but using a lollipop man!

The Bluebells class worked in teams during a game of “I Spy”. We had to find a range of items on our list and take a photo of them on our iPad. We looked for bus stops, red cars, white vans, windmills, a tree and a bird.

The Bluebells class made lentil soup during our cookery session this week. We peeled and grated carrots and peeled and chopped potatoes, onions and leeks.
We loved doing this and hope to make some more flavours soon.

The Bluebells class were given a challenge of creating a snowman using playdough and a range of materials. We all enjoyed choosing what to use for eyes, mouths, arms etc and had lots of fun!

The Bluebells class had lots of fun celebrating Children in Need. We drew Blush the bear, finger painted Pudsey’s bandana and coloured by number some Pudsey images.
In the afternoon we moved around the Infant classes enjoying some fun activities including decorating Pudsey biscuits, making Pudsey masks and playing Pudsey bingo and bowling.

The Bluebells class loved making spotty biscuits to celebrate Children in Need. We are going to decorate them as part of our Infant Corridor activities.

The Bluebells class have worked hard this term learning about how to keep safe near busy roads. We have been practising on social walks crossing with the green man, explored playdough mats related to road safety, went on a red and green man hunt around the school and finally enjoyed some move and groove sessions with the red and green man.

The Bluebells class enjoyed making a Bonfire themed snack today. We used chocolate fingers to create sparklers. We dipped them in melted white chocolate and added sprinkles. They tasted delicious!
