The Planets class worked together to help hang our Christmas decorations around the class. We helped decorate the Christmas tree with baubles and tinsel.

The Planets class loved writing their letter to Santa. We looked through the Smyths catalogue and chose some items that we wanted Santa to bring us for Christmas.
We also had great fun using shaving foam to make Santa beards!

The Planets class loved making salt dough tree decorations. We used Christmas themed cutters to make the salt dough into Christmas shapes.

The Planets class worked together to create snow cloud dough. We used cornflour, vegetable oil and glitter. We loved doing this and loved how realistic it felt to “normal” snow.

The Planets class enjoyed creating puffy paint using shaving foam and PVA glue. We used this to create puffy paint snowmen. We all loved doing this!

The Planets class enjoyed creating Christmas themed step by step drawings.
We had to focus on the SMARTboard, copy the lines that were drawn and this eventually created both a snowman and Santa Claus!
Everyone is Comet class is getting super excited for Christmas! This last week we have completed lots of different Christmas activities and made lots of decorations! One of our favourites was our fizzy Christmas tree experiment. Everyone was successful learner.
It was also Christmas Jumper Day today. Everyone looked fantastic in their jumpers and enjoyed watching the Singing Hands Christmas Show.
Comet class had a really busy week last week!
We had a super fun time with Singing Hands on Friday. Everyone was an effective contributor by singing and signing along to all the songs!
We also spent last week getting ready for St. Andrews day. We made our own kilts and practiced some Scottish dancing
Comet class have all been successful learners this week learning all about Diwali. We looked at why it is important to others, the story or Rama and Sita, and how it is celebrated. We enjoyed making lanterns and doing rangoli art with coloured rice.
It might be early but Christmas has started in the Comets class as we make our Christmas wall display. Everyone was an effective contributor drawing and cutting out their hands to make the tree.
The Comets have been working hard this term on our Eco goals! We have thought hard about how we can be a more eco friendly class and help our community.
We decided that a litter pick was a great idea! As we weren’t able to go to our local parks, we went round the school and playground looking for any litter that we could find. Everyone was an effective contributor to help keep the school clean!
For our next Eco goal we decided to try and recycle and up-cycle as much as we can! We saw some super cool homemade guitars that we thought we could make from all boxes and toilet roll tubes. Everyone was a successful learner by decorating and putting their guitar together.
