Hello Sunflowers!
I hope you all had a lovely weekend and are safe and well at home. Below are some fun activities for the week.
Firstly, let’s have a song! I have added the wake up song that you might remember from Assembly. Try to join in and copy the signs.
Literacy – Katie Morag and The Isle of Struay
For our Scottish topic this term, we were going to be learning all about Katie Morag. At home, you can still get involved with all her adventures. Listen to the story ‘Katie Morag Delivers the Mail’ below. Can you point to the characters in the story?
Do you know what colour the post box is? Have you seen one before? You may spot on one your daily walk.
Numeracy – Outdoor Counting
It is really important to get outside for exercise if you can. While you are on your walk or in the garden, can you collect objects and count them from 1-5? You may want to collect larger numbers. I have added some examples below.
Health and Wellbeing – Fruity faces
I know a lot of you love to eat fruit at snack time in class. Can you use your favourite fruits to make a face? Remember where the eyes, ears and nose go!
Will your face be happy, sad, angry or excited? Use your emotions cards from your lockdown pack to help you.
Tower Challenge
Lastly, can you build a tall tower? Using any toys or objects you have at home, try to build a really tall tower. How are you going to make it balance? Here are a few ideas.
I hope you have a great week!
