Today, the Sunflower’s enjoyed celebrating Chinese New Year.  As a class, we watched the dragon dance that takes place each year and we then made our own dragons to dance along to the music.  Afterwards, each child took part in some sensory play and practiced using tweezers to lift noodles.  Red and gold are lucky colours at Chinese New Year and we played with our lucky red playdough alongside golden rice. Some children practiced  tracing Chinese numbers in rice too!
