Good Morning Sunflowers!

Below are four activities which you can try at home this week.

Literacy – Dinosaur Roar!

I know how much you love dinosaur’s in class. Listen to the Makaton story below.  Can you copy the sign for dinosaur and can you make the same sounds as the dinosaur in the story? When you are all done, I want you to try and think of other words that begin with the sound ‘d’. Can you spot them around the house?

Numeracy – Shapes

This week on Vscene, we have been practicing making shapes in the air with our fingers.  Listen to the shape song below by the Singing Walrus and join in by guessing the shapes and tracing them with your finger. Name the shapes if you can.

Health and Wellbeing –  Star Jump Challenge

At school, we love to dance to actions song and we also do a lot of exercise in the playground.  Join in with the star jump dance and see how many star jumps you can do.

Science – Rainbow Experiment

Using Skittles and warm water, can you make a rainbow?  Place the skittles around the plate to make a multicoloured circle.  Add the water to the centre and watch as the colours form a rainbow.  Can you name and point to the colours that you see?
