Hello Snowdrops!

We are missing you all in school and hope it won’t be long until we are all together again.  You may have your lockdown pack of activities to keep you busy, but we will also post some fun activities every week for you to try at home with adult help. The Snowdrops always enjoy learning about animals, so here are some animal related tasks.

Literacy – In class, we enjoy watching and listening to Makaton Stories.  So this week, you could look at the Dear Zoo story being told by Singing Hands.  You can also practise your Makaton animal signs.  Here is the link for you to find and enjoy watching the story at home.

Numeracy – Now for some animal counting – This counting song is a Snowdrop favourite! So I’m sure there will be lots of smiles when you play this.

Try to say some numbers, point or simply watch all the fish appearing and moving.

HWB – Moovlee the monkey always keeps us active in class.  So, we’re going to keep thinking about animals and follow Moovlee to make animal poses and moves.

Home Economics – We like touching, smelling and eating different fruits.  It’s also fun to make different shapes with your fruit pieces and here are some ideas for animal shapes. Ask an adult to help you.

Maybe you have some play doh at home and could make some fruit shapes with play doh too.  Can you count how many pieces of fruit you make?  Or sign and say what colour they are?

Finally – If you just want some sensory relaxation, here are some links to underwater animal relaxing music to lie or sit quietly and listen to.
