The children had a great today in their costumes and enjoyed a number of activities to celebrate World Book Day. Thanks to all who participated.

P5i Castle Presentations
Today we finally heard all presentations and had a chance to see all 25 castles. What a successful homework project this turned out to be. Each and every castle had at least one element that stood out from the rest,  making the decision to choose 3  winners really hard. In fact, so hard, I asked Mrs Findlay to do the honours.
I hope you enjoy looking at the efforts of all P5i children, and again, accept my thanks for supporting your child to complete their task and  to be such successful learners. Well done one and all.
Many congratulations to Kye, Megan and Lyle for your super castles. You made Mrs Findlay’s job even harder.

WOW have your children outdone themselves!
Today half of the class presented their castles to their peers and we can hardly wait to see the the other half and hear their presentations.
Thank you to all parents who sourced materials and supported their child to produce their works of art. Photos will be posted at the end of the week – and you’ll be impressed.

Are P5i For or Against Homework?
Today we had a discussion about homework and children had a very h
ealthy and emotive debate about the pros and cons.

Chivalry alive and well in P5i
As you can see from the photos, children had a real giggle today performing acts of chivalry – once they learned what they were!
Holding doors open and pulling out chairs for girls or helping them on with their coats seems to be a thing of the past –
but from now on… who knows? 
P5i Poetry
It was a very hard decision, but many congratulations to Luke who was chosen to represent our class in next week’s poetry competition.
Also worth celebrating was the completion of our class shields. A lot of thought and effort has gone into making them, and as you can see, everyone is delighted with their efforts. Now we just have to find some space to display them?
P5 Scots Poetry Competition
Just a reminder from P5i, P5K, P5T
Pupils who wish to be entered for the Scots Poetry Competition on Thursday 6 February, will have the opportunity to recite their poem to all of their P5 peers on Monday, and one pupil will be chosen to represent each class. Good luck to those taking part.

P5i Shields of Honour
Well the children have finally made a start on their shields, and boy, are they keen. They have carefully cut o
ut the frame and are now transferring their symbols and codes on to each quadrant. They really will be works of art by the time they are finished. Well done P5i.
P5 Termly Overview
