Easter Egg Fun in P5E

P5 E were treated to some Easter egg fun but, as always, Miss Ellis made it educational!

Pupils took part in an egg hunt and in each egg there were chilli challenge calculations to complete. In the egg toss activity pupils were to add up their scores using mental strategies. This proved to be a challenging task so we had to adapt as we went along. It was a fun morning that pupils really enjoyed.

Have a lovely holiday everyone! 🙂

Daffodils

Pupils were learning the wonderful poem Daffodils by William Wordsworth and here are the winners and runners-up in today’s recital.

Well done to all pupils for reciting your poem today and for all your efforts in trying to learn all verses.

Well done Mia and Kerr who also won a bunch of flowers for their mums.

P5i Silhouettes

Can you identify the pupil from their silhouette?

Pupils took great care to showcase their cutting and presentation skills when completing their silhouettes. Such is the accuracy of their work,  I can identify each pupil. How many children can you identify?

P5M the ‘appy bunch

P5M were delighted to have an input on coding and app development today. The visit to P5M was down to Gemma Davidson winning the school’s app design competition. A huge congratulations to Gemma, who’s app, Bee ‘appy, is available to download on the App Store and android play store.

P5i Maths-tastic

Today pupils concluded their learning on Perimeter by measuring irregular shapes. Using lengths of wool, pupils were able to measure around the awkward shapes then measure the wool used, to find the perimeter: a task they seem to have enjoyed.

Next we will be looking at Area and different ways to measure it.
